The passive GL (Guitar Large) direct mount Q-tuner for 6 string guitar, combines the power of high-performance neodymium magnets with greater efficiency "free standing" air coils. The most noticable sonic feature of the GL direct mount is the extremely linear frequency response.
Optimized winding geometry to give ideal value/dcr ratios; hence, maximum humbucking action.
Now, coil modifications are also possible! In order to meet the growing interest in a neodymium bridge Q-tuner for metal/rock guitar, all GL's can be 'beefed-up' to Super High Z ratios. Super High Z Q-tuners can be typified as having an amazingly aggressive but yet well defined overdrive sound.
Available in Super High Z (bridge), High Z (bridge, neck) and Medium Z (neck) versions and they come protected with transparent covers. Check out the gallery for pictures.
